Hi Eric, I obviously can't speak for others and times gone by. All I can say is that there a many people dedicated to decomissioning nuclear facilitites. And good progress is being made on the projects that I have been involved in.

I am also not aware of a single person today who is pushing for the use of nuclear energy to walk away with a golden handshake in 30 years time. I would say that you could put this argument to any commercial endevour.

Also, I'm not an expert in the decomissioning of solar and wind farms, but understand that nuclear is not unique is challenges being faced at the end of the production.

I enjoy hearing the views of people when it comes to energy, particularly when the views are different to my own. I am pro solar, but do not believe that we have the means to provide enough energy using 100% renewables. Nuclear is the best way to do this that I have come across.
