How I came to the change of career plans

I have previously talked about my plans for my professional life. I spoke about my career pathing journey and followed up with my goals for the upcoming years.

#1 “I am a project manager in the nuclear industry by trade. I have a clear mission to be the CEO of a significant nuclear employer before I reach the age of 50.”

#2 “My second career, from a career pathing perspective, is as the founder of the website getintonuclear.com and any commercial endeavour I can build around the site.”

Well, this was six months ago, and things have changed. I've reevaluated and want to change my life's work and career path. And it's all because of Warren Buffett. In my latest update, I laid out two key career goals:

The 25/5 Rule

Okay, I may not be able to credit Warren Buffett 100% as it is disputed whether or not this process originated from him. Still, I tried it and found that what I wanted from a career needed to align with my goals and aspirations.

Side note: Donald Trump famously stated that he hates the word aspiration as he associates it with people that talk but take no action — I'll stick with the word considering further comments about DJT shared at the bottom of this article.
