I’m living in the now, but what about the increasing cost of living?
There are many benefits associated with being present and living in the now. However, I have found that by living in the now over the summer months, my bank balance is not where it needs to be to get me through the winter months.
I have made decisions to extend a holiday, stay in a nicer hotel, book a more expensive boat trip, and make many more minor decisions, all to “live in the now” and get the most out of every moment.
I have had a great summer. There is no denying that!
I’ve been to London, Edinburgh, York, Manchester, Liverpool, Paris, Perpignan, Girona, Ibiza, the Amalfi Coast, Zug and Zurich in the last couple of months and done as much as I could possibly fit into the visits while I was there.
I have felt that I have been a happier person. I have lived in the present, been present with friends and family and been much more adventurous than I have been in the past — both in my personal life and in business.
However, how do you stay present but with a focus on the future — without letting it affect your presence?
How can you decide not to do something to make the most of the moment in the sacrifice of the future (not now) time?
