Short but sweet
100 followers and counting
I put considerable effort and thought into posting a meaningful, average 8 minutes article weekly.
It has taken me 67 articles to get to 100 followers, so I thought I would do something different and write until I reach what I expect is a 2 mins read.
When I scroll down medium articles, the “x min read” is a significant factor in what I choose to read. And I would even say that I would not choose to read many of my articles as the titles do not justify me spending 8 minutes of my life engaging in reading.
NB — who knew that if you highlight your text in draft mode within Medium, you are given a word count at the top right of the page?
I do enjoy writing. I like to break it down by the days of the week.
Monday — I undertake research by reading articles, watching videos and allowing myself to go down rabbit holes until I have a topic to write about.
Tuesday — I put together an outline of the article. Sometimes this is just headings, other times an intro to get me started on a topic.
Wednesday — is when I complete the first draft and do the first run-through for typos and spelling mistakes.
