Writing on Medium for Me, Not You

The Good, Bad and Ugly of Writing on Medium

Writing is incredibly fulfilling and can provide many benefits, from improving mental health to earning extra income.

For me — and I understand many people — writing is a way to escape the stresses and pressures of daily life and focus on something I genuinely enjoy. It is the only time my brain stops and focuses on one thing only.

Whether creative writing, blogging, or technical writing, putting words on paper (or screen) can be a powerful tool for personal growth and development.

The Good

One of the most significant benefits of writing is how it can help quiet the mind and promote focus. When I'm in the midst of a writing project, it's easy to get lost in the task and forget about the outside world.

This can be a much-needed break from the constant barrage of distractions we all face daily. Writing can improve cognitive function and increase mental clarity by allowing my brain to focus on a single activity.

For many, writing is also a source of personal fulfilment and satisfaction. Creating something can be gratifying, whether writing a novel, crafting a poem, or simply jotting down your thoughts in a journal.

I write about what I'm currently geeking-out over. What I read, watch and listen to, as well as my experiences as a Dad, Husband and Nuclear Energy Consultant.
